ASSESSMENT OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT TO THE PROVISION OF QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICE DELIVERY

Hospital and other health institutions are not only required to maintain Health Information Management but assessing Health Records services. However, with the increasing complexity of health information and health care setting, most people need additional information, skills and supportive relationship to meet their health needs. Disparities in access to health information services and technology can result in lower usage rates of preventive services, higher rates of chronic diseases management, higher rates of hospitalization and poorer reported health state. The purpose of embarking on this study was to find out/assess the contributions of health information management to the provision of quality health care service delivery in Abia state university teaching hospital, Aba south L.G.A.
