EFFECTS OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IN HEALTH CARE DELIVERY IN ENUGU STATE

This research work was on the Effects of Effective Communication in health care delivery in Enugu State. The observance of communication gap among medical personnel and patients prompted this research work, as adequate communication could lead to proper care delivery in our hospitals. This research work sought to find out the ways in which effective communication channels could bridge the gap between health practitioners and patients. Based on this five (5) research questions were raised. The methodology used was descriptive survey design with a population of 227 staff and a sampling size of 220 staff, a random sampling technique was used to give every population equal chance of being represented. The major instrument used for data collection was a close-ended questionnaire. Frequency tables, simple percentages, bar chart and pie chart were used to analyze the data obtained, while the findings that there is significant relationship between communication and effective healthcare delivery, and that good communication channels effects in health care greatly enhances service delivery.
