ASSESSMENT AND IMPACT OF COMPUTERIZATION IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

This study is to investigate the assessment and impact of computerization in Health Information Management in Health Information Management in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi. Emphasis is laid on what electronic health record is all about and its usefulness or impact on health information management as well as the hospital under investigation. The objectives of the study are to determine the assessment of computerization (EHR) of patients’ health information to know the impact of EHR in health care delivery, to ascertain the role of health information management in coordinating EHR system.
