ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF USE OF COMPUTER IN ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS IN TERTIARY HEALTH INSTITUTION

This research work is on the analysis of the effects of the use of computer in academic achievement of students of tertiary health institution. Computer is a device that receives any information, processes the information and gives it out as processed message that becomes an output. Even thought computer is used by students in document production, playing of games, chatting and to some extend browsing. It has not been used effectively in learning which will aid their academic performance. The objective of this study is to examine the effects, roles and how it affects the use of library. Descriptive research design was adopted and stratified random sampling was used to select 60 respondents from the total population of 187 from the 4 academic levels in School of Health Information Management, Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.
