ATTITUDE OF HEALTH WORKERS TOWARDS PATIENTS IN TEACHING HOSPITALS IN NIGERIA

This study was conducted to examine the attitude of health workers towards patients in teaching hospitals and the factors responsible for these attitudes. The objective of the study is to assess the attitude of health workers and recommend needs for a positive attitude. Based on the above objectives, four (4) research questions were postulated while one hypothesis tested.  The hypothesis was tested using chi-square. The design of the study was descriptive in nature. The research considered simple random sampling technique from the population of 400 and sample size of 200 was selected. Information was elicited from the 200 randomly selected respondents with the use of structured questionnaire. The data analysis was by frequency distribution tables with percentages.
