The attitude of health information managers in hospitals in recent years is of great concern not only to the hospital management but also to the patient. Release of patient health information requires written authorization from the patient. In few occasions, the health institution might be mandated by law to release patient information for judicial use. Medical record department provide major part of needed information for healthcare system and are responsible for protecting privacy and confidentiality of patient information. The increased tendency of hospital for taking advantage of automated systems for medical information while having no clear rules and regulations can cause the transfer of information out of control and increases the probability of information leak and accessibility by unauthorized persons.
