BARRIERS TO EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

This study was on barriers to effective communication in Health Information Management Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi. The specific objective of this study was to determine the importance of effective communication as channel in health information management and the possible ways to bridge the gap in communication between health information managers and the entire public as the first point of contact in the hospital. And that raised the question are there curtail role of government in enhancing and promotion of effective communication channel in NAUTH Nnewi?. The various literatures on Health Information were reviewed. Also unraveled were some problems in health information management that hindered the purpose of the study. A sample of two hundred and twenty (220) respondents was drawn from this study.
