CURRENT ISSUES RELATING TO THE ROLE OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT IN THE MEDICAL AND HEALTH SECTOR

This research work on current issues relating to the role of Health Information Management Practices in the Medical and Health Sector. A case study of Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA) Ebonyi State. The general objective of this study is to investigate and ascertain the role of current issues relating to the role of Health Information Management in the Medical and Health Sector, A case study of Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA) Ebonyi State to achieve success in this research work, 4 research questions were formulated. The methodology used was descriptive survey design with a sample of 50 staff from the Health Information Department. (All of them professionals) the primary instrument used for data collection was questionnaire, 50 questionnaire was distributed; all the questionnaire were collected and 50%) frequency distribution, table with simple percentage, was used to analyze the data and findings; in accessing the responses of the staff that the aware of the current issues relating to the role of Health Information Management in the Medical and Health Sector.
