This research work focuses on the “Overview of Freedom of Information Act, 2011 and the Implications on Patients’ Access to Health Information (A Case Study of Federal Medical Centre, Asaba)”. The statement of problem relied on examining the problems associated with Freedom of Information Act, 2011 in relation to access to patients’ health information or data under public custody which were classified as inaccessible to the public. At the end of this study, three specific objectives of the study were pursued; six research questions were formulated, and the scope of the study was clearly stated. Methodology used for the study was descriptive research design with a population of 250 staff of Federal Medical Centre Asaba with the sample size of 120 workers.
