CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES AS A PANACEA TO CONFLICT MANAGEMENT IN TERTIARY HEALTH INSTITUTION IN NIGERIA

It is important to have people who understand conflicts and know how to resolve them because when conflict arises, it becomes a problem. However, without conflict, there can never be increase in group cohesion and performance. It is with the view of the above that this study was carried out to determine the conflict resolution strategies in tertiary health institutions using NAUTH, Nnewi as the study area. The design of this study was descriptive. The population comprised seven hundred and sixty-four (764) health workers of NAUTH Nnewi. Yamane Taro’s formula was used to determine a sample size of two hundred and sixty-three (263) respondents. These respondents comprised one hundred and forty (140) males and one hundred and twenty-three (123) females which were selected at random from each department.
