This research work on Effects of Internal Conflict Among staff of Schools of Health Information Management on general administration vis-visa students performance. It is an incidence that cannot be over looked. As we all know that “conflict is a state of opposition between persons, ideals or interest. Walenston (2002) sees internal conflict as a manifestation of hostile attitude in the face of conflicting interest between individual in a unit or in an organization. Conflict has its own positive and negative effects, but the negative effects outweighs the positive side in SHIM  NAUTH Nnewi which is my study area. The negative effects of conflicts include: It hinders smooth working environment, It hampers the decision making process, It reduces productivity and brings about poor students performance. The common sense understanding of conflict is the negative side of it, it is a setback. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes, effects and possibly find solutions that will help in prevention and resolution of internal conflicts among staff of SHIM.
