Quality Assurance is usually regarded as paramount in any health care delivery because Quality Assurance is a mechanism of evaluation of care rendered to the patients in order to maintain standard in the delivery of healthcare services. Quality Assurance is a critical determinant in the success and survival of a healthcare delivery system in today’s competitive health environment. As such, any decline in patient satisfaction due to poor quality service should be a matter of grave concern. This need arose as a result of incessant complaints of unsatisfactory care from the patients despite the increase in the cost of healthcare services being rendered to them, and the pressure on healthcare institutions to reduce the cost of services rendered to patients while improving the quality of service.
